Tau (Chapelrose Lala Tau of Tarimoor)

Tau's health test results are all back and viewable on the KC database; I hope to take a litter early in 2012, she is due in season end of Jan/beginning of Feb, meaning pups would potentially be on the ground for the beginning of April and ready to go to new homes somewhere around the beginning of July.  All being well, I plan to use a dog called Oakglen Over The Border At Poniel (Red), who is chocolate, meaning all pups will be chocolate.  Red's pedigree compliments Tau's very well; his hip score is 3:3 and elbow grade is 0, and he is PRA clear/normal (see below for Tau's health test results).  Please contact me if you are interested in a pup, to talk about the type of home you might be able to offer.  Puppies will be £600 each, and will come with a puppy pack, to include some food, a piece of cloth scented to help them settle, full instructions for bringing a new pup into your house including basic training; all pups will be endorsed and sold under contract ensuring that if at any point the pup/dog does not fit in, they will be returned to me, or rehomed with my agreement.  I will not charge for lifting endorsements, although I have strict critiera that need to be met to my satisfaction before they are lifted to ensure that only good quality, health tested dogs will be used in any future breeding programme.  If you would like to discuss the terms and conditions, and criteria for lifting endorsements, please contact me, I would be happy to go through details.  Although I raw feed, the pups will be weaned on to a good quality kibble, unless puppy buyers state that they prefer to go with raw themselves; if you would like to try raw but are not sure, I have a full feeding guide available, free of charge for puppy buyers.  Pups will be microchipped, however, they will not be vaccinated to allow your own vet to vaccinate with their preferred manufacturer of vaccines as there are a number of products available.  Included in the puppy pack, along with the contract of sale, endorsement agreements and instructions, will be copies of all health test paperwork, Tau's original results will be available to view, whilst copies of Red's paperwork will be available.

Litter Pedigree

This is the potential litter pedigree, with lines going back to Rocheby and Paulgun Pyrus, one of the few working dogs in both litters, although it has just dropped off the end of the five generation pedigree in Red's case.  The litter COI, although higher than the breed average, is an improvement, taking it lower than the sire, and slightly higher than Tau's.

This is Tau, she is a year younger than her half sister, but just as giddy.  She has taken some nice features from her show sire, put together with the love of retrieving of her dam, she is what I hoped for to do some training and possibly competition with.  She's progressing nicely at gundog training, and if I get the time, and the confidence, I hope to perhaps do a working test with her.

Tau is in the process of being health scored, and so far I have the following results:

Hips 0:0

Elbows 0

CNM Clear

gPRA Clear

BVA eye test taken on Monday 31 October 2011 was all clear

My purpose in taking this litter is to keep a bitch pup back for myself, and I hope to train this pup on to work, possibly compete at gundog competitions, and in the show ring.  Given the breeding, the litter has the potential to produce some nice, moderate pups, with a bit of ability in there; Red's conformation and pedigree make up for and match Tau nicely, and I hope the pups will be a good improvement in the direction I want to take for the future.
