Rondavels

Chalk pastel study of rondavels and huts in a Southern African village.  A typical scene of a family compound in Southern Africa.  With a mix of traditional thatch and some corrugated tin roofing; the walls are traditionally made from mud, and floors from polished hardened cow dung.  Breeze blocks and concrete often take their place today.
